3 Tips to PREVENT the Flu this Flu season

1. Take Vitamin D the sunshine Vitamin/hormone.

As sunlight exposure plummets in the fall,winter, and early spring so does Vitamin D levels. Vitamin D is a vital hormone precursor to keep your body strong and your immune system fighting viruses. You can only get this during the hours of 10am-2pm from UVB sunlight and latitudes above 37 degrees will get little to NONE (above North Carolina etc.) during the winter. Get your Vit D level tested ! Optimal levels are between 50-70ng/ml. If it is low take a Vitamin D supplement with Vit K to insure its properly absorbed. Also Vitamin D is fat soluble so must be taken with a fat.

2. Keep stress levels low, and stay properly rested
