Your first visit, end to end.
Here at Back in Motion, we want to make sure that your first visit is as relaxing and informative as possible. We want to ensure that when you leave, you do not have any questions.
Many people visit the chiropractor for the first time because they are experiencing pain in different areas of their body. Some people also visit us because they want to begin a preventive treatment plan to ensure that they stay healthy.
We understand the body and how it works. During your first visit, we will spend some time talking so that you can explain any pain that you have. We may feel around the painful areas to get a better sense of what is going on. We will probably take X-rays to get a good look at your alignment, though they are not always needed.
We truly believe that pain is often the result of something in our body being out of alignment. We will work hard to ensure that your body gets back into alignment so that you are pain free again.
Our goal is to help you to feel better (and stay that way) as quickly as possible. It is possible to live a life without pain.
No surprises, no upsells, no jargon.
You walk in for help. We treat you like a person, not a number.
We discuss exactly what you owe before treatment. Auto, VA, and self-pay rates are transparent and stated up front.
Dr. Colby recommends only the care your condition needs. If your case calls for fewer visits, that is what we tell you.
We show you the X-rays and explain what we see in language you actually understand. Questions are welcomed, not rushed.
What happens, in order.
No surprises. No upsells. Here is exactly what happens from the moment you walk in.
Welcome & Paperwork
We greet you, get you comfortable, and have you fill out a short intake form. Plan to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early. If you printed your forms ahead of time, even better.
From the parking lot to walking out feeling better.
Roughly 60 to 90 minutes, end to end. Here is how the time usually breaks down.
Arrive & settle in
Park, walk in, meet the front desk. Short intake form on a clipboard or tablet. We have water and a comfortable waiting area.
History & exam
Dr. Colby sits down with you and listens, then runs the physical exam: posture, motion, neuro and orthopedic tests.
Imaging & findings
If your case calls for X-rays, we take them on site. Dr. Colby walks you through the images and the findings, in plain language.
Treatment & plan
First adjustment, soft tissue work, or modalities, whatever your case needs. Then the plan, the timeline, and the cost. No surprises.

The more you bring, the faster we get straight to care.
